People We Serve

Since 1966, Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati board, staff and volunteers have worked to provide the Greater Cincinnati Community with good health and renal information and programs. This includes the ability of the agency to financially assist renal and transplant patients, to provide grants for renal research, and to extend its communications and public educational efforts within the Greater Cincinnati community.

Counties

The Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati (KFGC) serves 15 counties in the Tri-State area.

Ohio: Hamilton, Clermont, Adams, Brown, Butler, Clinton, Highland and Warren

Indiana: Dearborn

Kentucky: Boone, Campbell, Kenton, Gallatin, Grant and Pendleton

The Foundation offers resources and support to community members, kidney patients and their families, renal professionals and area students.

Direct Services Available For Kidney Patients

Kidney patients and family members may request referral assistance, resource materials and information by calling (513) 961-8105, ext. 100, or by sending an e-mail message to mary@kidneycincinnati.org.

Through renal social workers, area kidney patients who qualify, are provided assistance through the Medication Aid Program.

Community Programs

The Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati offers numerous programs free to the community.  Individuals and organizations may inquire about these programs or request kidney-related information by contacting the Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati at (513) 961-8105 ext. 104, or by sending an e-mail message to julie@kidneycincinnati.org.  Programs offered include the following:

  • Captain Kidney Youth Health Education Programs - Grades 1 – 6
  • Jr. High & Sr. High School Education Program
  • Corporate Presentations
  • Spirit of Health
  • KATCH (Kidney Assessment Through Comprehensive Health) Screening

Medical & Renal Health Care Professionals

Renal professionals may participate in the annual professional education program organized by the Medical Advisory Board.
